about

If you like your remixes and edits a bit funky, then you’re at the right place. After a successful first 6 volumes of the Toxic Funk 45 single series, BBP have assembled the cream of cutting edits and remixes to bring you a 13-track corker of a compilation.

Kicking the funk off, is Jayl Funk with this gritty funker, with that sweet heavy bassline, smothered with guitars and vocal stabs, you’re sure to stomp your feet to it. Keeping the bass subby, Crash Party smashes it again, giving Biggie that funky groove, where Towlie DJ gets that Ghetto Funk feel rolling with a totally funked up, synth laced banger. Boydex is on a roll right now, and there’s no disappointing with his deep funky groover of a track, and Mako & Mr. Bristow have that special touch when it comes to making those original remixes, and this is no different, coming with a slightly different reggae riddim on an old rock funk classic. And then there’s Badboe.... This man is always on point, and when he puts his touch to a remix, you know you’re in for a wicked night. Especially with that sweet transition into a nice disco-esque groove.

Have you heard of Suckaside? If not, then get to know. These guys, aka DJ B-Side & Suckatimmy, have developed a reputation for those funkadelic edits and remixes, and this is spot on again. Aliens in Denmark, have taken a classic funk beat and given it a nice subby feel, complimented with some wicked dancehall vocal vibes, where Mister Bristow has knocked it out the park with his cut up cracker of a vintage remix. LROY, is also a name you need to get to know if you like you funked up remixes and edits. And if you like a bit of Wu-tang, then this track is a must for your playlist. Rounding off the release are 3 well established BBP artists. The Breakbeat Junkie puts his touch, making that Jungle Boogie hard, where, Morlack get you to fall even more in love with his musoic with his touch on a disco must. Finally it’s Pecoe. This man needs no introduction, as he has that funky touch on everything he makes. And a perfect track to finish this album of edits and remixes.
